XX Open Seaside Collection, Ciudad San Juan de Dios Charity Golf Tournament

Once again, the Seaside Collection group and the Maspalomas Golf Club have joined forces to bring you the XX Open Seaside Collection - Ciudad San Juan de Dios Charity Tournament, with the aim of supporting charity initiatives for those most in need. This year, the tournament will be held on 24th June. The aim of this event is to create an environment where tournament participants, sponsors and the public come together in perfect harmony in an excellent golf course in great condition to give their best shot for such an important initiative. 

Seaside Collection will be in charge of delivering a perfect experience and meeting the needs of the participants. Thanks to its three hotels in Gran Canaria: Grand Hotel Residencia*****GL, Seaside Palm Beach***** and Seaside Sandy Beach****, those taking part in this event will be able to enjoy excellent food and service. Early risers will be able to start their morning with a hearty breakfast, and later, when they reach the 9th hole, an excellent picnic will be waiting for them to help them recharge their batteries. In the afternoon, an awards ceremony will be held, and the attendees will be able to taste the unique cuisine that sets Seaside apart. 

In its 20th edition this year, this charity tournament is one of the most important amateur events on the Canarian golfing scene. All the proceeds will go to support some of the projects and activities carried out at San Juan de Dios, an institution dedicated to the care of people with disabilities and their families since 1972

The aim of this charitable golf initiative is for participants to spend a great day playing their favourite sport with family and friends, creating fun memories and, why not, fostering a healthy competition–which is something that everyone likes, right?–to add a little bit more excitement to this kind and generous event. Along the course, there will be plenty of time to take it a bit more seriously and try to take the win while, at the same time, having a great time all together without forgetting the main reason behind this event: solidarity. 

Gran Canaria and Maspalomas Golf: the perfect place for golf lovers

The course is long and flat, with wide fairways and a total of 18 holes (and a par of 73), all of them surrounded by yellow sand bunkers, making it a great option for high handicappers looking to up their game. The estimated time to complete the course is four hours; however, the beautiful setting will surely make you want to stay longer and enjoy the surrounding landscape.
